What is biomass? Biomass refers to renewable organic resources derived from plants, excluding fossil resources. Plants absorb CO2 during their growth process, so they are considered not to increase CO2 emissions even when incinerated, contributing to the reduction of greenhouse effects. What is the biomass mark? The biomass mark is a certification granted by the Japan Organic Resources Association, aimed at contributing to the construction of a sustainable society. It is awarded to products that contain "10% or more (dry weight)" of biological resources (biomass) and meet certain quality and safety standards.
